Tommaso Girotto is an award-winning Australian guitarist whose playing is shaped by a broad musical education.

His studies have taken him from Australia to the UK and Germany, working with many of today’s most respected teachers. He has been recognised in major international competitions and has appeared as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House. Tommaso is also passionate about commissioning new music and has collaborated with some of today’s leading composers.

All in Twilight was borrowed as a title for the program from Torū Takemitsu’s work for solo guitar. Takemitsu’s exploration of colour and texture contrasts and compliments the deliberate use of space between notes – a concept known as “ma” in Japanese.

The program also features J.S Bach’s, Suite in C minor, BWV997, one of his most sophisticated instrumental works, and explores the beauty of the Spanish guitar repertoire.
